30/1/2017 0 Comments Rome wasn't built in a daySo we couldn't sell our tiny envelopes filled with hearts 🙁. We are going to ask the lovely people at Mugen if we can arrange a new date for our Mother's Day class making cards and flower brooches. Kate is also hoping to run some scrap booking days wearing her Papercraft Kate hat. Today I'm making a covered notebook and I have two knitted teddies to finish so I should really crack on. But first it would appear I need to rewrite this blog post because I've lost half of it again! Gurr me and technology don't mix! Please do get in touch if there's anything you'd like us to run a session doing, on the website takes your fancy let us know we are really keen to cater to what people want. Similarly if you have suggestions about classes times/prices etc let us know. We are fairly flexible n mobile so if your mums group or church group need activities for meetings we can come to you. We are keen to continue our upcycling so we are offering discounts for people who provide materials for example fancy a personalised button picture and have some fabric/buttons you no longer have need for we'll take them and reduce the price of your product. While I realise our crafty cakey ramblings might not be your cup of tea (or the regular updates on that bleedin jumper!) please could u take a minute to share our Fb posts /tweets to help us get the word out. Thanks xxx

18/1/2017 1 Comment Tiny Envelopes Filled With Hearts! We’re taking bookings for our Stick & Stitch workshop which will be crafting for Valentine’s Day. Everyone attending will be able to sew a heart with Allie and stick a Valentine’s Day card with me. As the title of this blog post suggests, the card will be made using the tiny envelope and heart-shaped punches, which are all put together to create the design. The decorative punches for paper crafting are easy to use, so if you have never tried card making before, it’s a great chance to have a go. This card could also be used for birthdays, anniversaries or weddings as you can chose whatever colours you like, so you don’t have to make it for a Valentine. The workshop will take place at Mugen Tea House, which means you will get to buy a lovely lunch or tea and cake whilst you’re crafting. Last time we were there we had toffee apple cake, which was amazing! The Stick & Stitch will be on Saturday 4th February between 11am and 4pm, and will be £15 per person. Just get in touch with us if you would like to book a place or if you have any questions J Kate Well I started this post on the 20/12 last year and then Christmas seemed to run away with me with pressies and orders to finish, gifts to wrap and post and family to visit!
So we did 3 Christmas craft fairs, opened an Etsy shop had a facebook shop event and took some commissions what busy little elves kate and I were. A family of personalised owls was created and heart button pictures. The nephews jumper unfortunately did not make it under the tree but is still a work in progress after some reassurance from mum that all is not lost. So now the festivities are over and the decorations are packed away it's time to decide what projects are on the list to be tackled in 2017, and for Kate and I to plan our classes for the year ahead. We also have an up cycling offer idea that we want to put into practice as soon once sort out the details... |
